Words flow from images, sensations, emotions, inspiration, experience and more. Writing can help release trauma and emotions held in the body in a fluid way if practiced regularly. It can also help to bring joy, laughter and lightheartedness into your life.
Every month, we have short meditations and different exercises in writing with discussion of what comes up. You are invited to bring to share your own poetry/writing (in any form or language) or that of someone you like.
These sessions are to help us discover the emotions that are evoked in us through the words of another, and what lays underneath those which we write. It's an incredible tool that anyone can use to discover where they need healing.
NOTE: These gatherings are intended to nurture creativity in a supportive environment and for healing. We are not in this session to see who can be super wordsmiths or to critique each other nor are we concerned about "proper" writing techniques.
