Grief can be for the loss of a family member, a friend, a pet or even a place we miss desperately. These types of loss eventually come to all of us. To say that no one is ever lost to us can sound trivial and trite because the loss feels very real. But many of us don’t go through the grieving and letting go process for a variety of reasons.
Often times we are trapped in the doingness of the activities that surround these situations. Or, we are thrown into helping others to get through this time, needing to be strong for them and not allowing our own process to play out. There are also those of us who put aside our own loss, pain and sorrow because we cannot cope with it at the time. We unconsciously activate our internal coping mechanism and it remains active until something blows up in our life to remind us of the underlying grief that is held.
This workshop is taking you through a process that I use to reconnect to those who have passed and to experience and release any suppressed grief. We don’t often understand how deeply it’s embedded in our bodies. This process was mind-blowing for me when I did it, because so much came up for healing that I didn’t even know I held within me. I felt lighter and more at peace afterward. I also gained new insights into my life and a deep and renewed gratitude to the person for whom I had gone through this grief process.
